The 22nd ITPA Topical Group Meeting on MHD, Disruption and Control will be held October 8-11, 2013 in Hefei, China,and hosted by the Institute of Plasma Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ASIPP).

The meeting will cover key MHD stability topics for ITER, including disruptions, disruption mitigation, axisymmetric control, sawteeth, tearing modes, resistive wall modes, error fields, and 3D effects. The meeting will also discuss progress of the joint experiments and working groups.

Announcement

1.   There will be people from the local organization committee (LOC) at Hefei airport to assist participants to take airport bus on October 7. Please look for the pick-up board at the airport with “22nd ITPA-MHD Meeting”.

If the arrive time of your flight is not suitable to catch the airport bus, please let us know, so we will see if we can pick you up from the airport.

2.   The facility and arrangement of meeting room in ASIPP are:

(1) The 22nd ITPA-MHD Topical Group Meeting will be arranged in ASIPP meeting room 601.
(2) Registration will begin in the morning of October 8 at the entrance of our venue, Room 601.
(3) Wireless network is available in meeting room 601. It works friendly without any pre-registration. The wireless internet server's name is 601-A and 601-B without passwords.

3.  Shuttle bus service between Crowne Plaza Hotel and ASIPP on each day of the meeting will be provided. Also, shuttle bus (Oct.8-10) after dinner will be arranged.

4.  The detailed travel plan and price breakdown for the tour to Huangshan Mountain and Hongcun Village after the meeting has been provided in “Social Event” in the website.

The tour fee will be charged in the morning of October 8 by travel agency beside the registration desk. Cash is recommended. Anyone who wants to join the tour should register before October 9.
